Travel & Taste Book Club

Members of our Travel & Taste Book Club enjoy and discuss travel lit and food memoirs. Join the fun discussion on the third Wednesday of every month. At our next meeting, held on Wednesday, August 21st from 6:30-7:30 pm, we'll talk about Grant Achatz's Life on the Line. Achatz had just been named one of the best new chefs in America when he was diagnosed with tongue cancer. The prognosis grim, he underwent treatment that left him without a sense of taste. He trained his chefs to mimic his palate, learned how to cook with his other senses, and went on to achieve some of the highest honors in the culinary world.
